“The result is an oil of great richness and complexity.

The Morruda variety is grown in the Baix Ebre and Montsià regions, and also in Castelló. It originates from the village of Els Reguers, in Tortosa.
This single-variety EVOO (100% Morruda) comes from the estates of the Pobill Ecològics farm. It is a variety that is slow to come into production and ripens very late, resulting in an oil of great richness and complexity.
Productive, alternate-bearing variety, slow to come into production and very late ripening in heavy-crop years. Not very hardy, with low drought resistance and sensitive to cold; moderately resistant to peacock spot.
Arbre: Strong vigour, open habit, dense canopy, very late onset of production and medium, alternating yield potential.
Fruit: Average weight of 2.98 g, flesh/pit ratio of 3.71 and oil content of 45.48% (dry matter).
